So if we're not going to examine the virus or the reason Evan wanted everyone dead (which he confirmed was irrelevant), what is going to lead to finding the murderer? I'm feeling especially stupid today. Hey known aliens? Did you guys know that there were additional non-humans on board? Not I. There were just the 3 of us. In Tulley's statement, he did mention "secret" alien(s)....so I imagine it wouldn't be known to anyone.

Here's what bothers me. Can't find quote...but when we were talking about Andy and the clues from the dead....Farrell posted what he had gotten from her. If it was a quote...then Farrell is an Alien...a secret Alien. Which would make him very suspicious. As pointed out for a while now...I couldn't have done the killing. 1. I do have an alibi. 2. My hands are pretty fucked up from all the years of boxing. 3. I am not smart enough to be a sneaky killer. And finally, Evan and I were all good. He paid me off and I got out. Got my fryer business going and things were turning out ok. Andy wanted me to promote fights, Paula wanted me to throw fights. And I wanted to go straight. No more rigged fights, no more gambling....just deep fried food.

This is what Andy sent me, I think she just cut and paste from her backstory. I think it is her talking to son. As horrible as it sounds for the planet earth, I don't think anything in here implicates anyone as the murderer.
""I would like to continue your celebrity status, even if all humans die. So I bought the Mildville Rotating Restaurant and converted to a casino hotel where I will have a permanent venue to play for your invading alien brethren. I've also contacted Erik about promoting boxing matches in the casino (of course, I haven't told him that this will be a wasteland for humanity and aliens will cheer these fights on to the death). My main liason for this has been Skipper Mike Magoo, who works the Riverboat Casino. I need Evan to invest money though, this project could cost billions. Mike Magoo's attempts to get Evan interested in investing in his own casino have been shot down repeatedly."

Right....talking to Son. "Your invading brethren". Sounds fishy "Mr. Immunity". BTW good luck....the killer has been known to kill the immune. Or would that be suicide? Nah.

Nah, murderer can't people with immunity, this year. If the murderer isn't ousted tomorrow, Farrell will slide into the final 3 suspects.

Andy sent me an email with info re aliens too. So Farrell getting the message is not exactly damning evidence of membership to the Alien team.

I think we need to talk about someone else. I'm not the murderer and I somehow won immunity so at least two people agree.
Inspector Tully said a payoff is an interest free loan. So how does that affect the case against Erik.

He has to pay back the $25 million but not any interest that normally would have accrued. Good motive (particularly if the bizness is failing and Andy's casino fails to launch). However, he still has those hands.
It would help to know how Evan died. Since the autopsy was inconclusive, are we to assume that the throat slitting was post-mortem and the actual cause of death was something else?

I believe it said his throat was cut and "some icky stuff" was pulled out. I'm sure this is as important as the cake in Andy's room.

So how does that affect the case against Erik. That's not how I read the payoff/loan sentence....Here is what Tulley said... First, there has been speculation about the interest free loan Mr. Stoneburner received. I can categorically state that under federal statute 9017b, interest free loans can qualify as payoffs and be treated as such in the court of law. This was upheld by the 9th district court in Debussy vs Ravel. It sounds like the opposite to me...that a loan can be a payoff, not that a payoff be a loan....but I'm still confused...does it make a difference?

This is confusing also....Farrell says Andy cut and pasted it from her back story, but it is in her voice, not Evan's. At best, it's her re-write of her back story.... again....not sure it makes any difference.

I had a thought about the thing Sarah found in Evan's quarters. It could be an alien fingernail.
One of you aliens needs to come clean and implicate the other.

That is a very sensible explanation. Flexible with a razor sharp edge and green. In fact, that is an excellent explanation!

Seriously....you had a fingernail thought? OMG....as one who is intimately familiar with manis, pedis, acrylics, fills, and the like, I can assure you that the weapon doesn't resemble any fingernail that I've ever seen....alien or otherwise! And for Annie to say it is "a sensible explanation"....really? So we jump from lockpick to harpoon to ..... fingernail??? If it were, don't you think there might have been some DNA clue tossed out at some point? What about the tip of a long fork used to fish out deep fried Twinkies??? What about a tip from a diving instructor's tool? What about a sharp part from Farrell's mysterious new all-in-one product he's backing that will launch in January, simply called "the New Thing." (per passenger manifest detail) Let's be smart! Fingernails of any variety aren't strong enough to cut and maim and kill. I've broken a few too many trying silly things like that!

I find this new theory interesting and plausible. Fingernails of any variety aren't strong enough to cut and maim and kill. I've broken a few too many trying silly things like that! So you're saying you've broken a fingernail recently? Interesting...
