In terms of who to vote, there is also always a third option. Vote for no one. The rules say that you "can" vote for someone, which also means you have the option to not vote for anyone. (Maybe for at least just the first night). Since there isn't really any information to go on, we're more likely to kill a good person than a baddie. That being said, I'm going after the first person who votes for me... Is there a challenge this week? i had the same initial thought (no one would have to die week one which sucks) but maybe there is something we overlooked? Like with all the powers and different abilities are we giving the villains an un-foreseen leg up?

I just read the rules again...the villains will kill someone in the night cycle for sure.
We might be able gain some info during the night phase (based of the powers Evan said would exist)
But that also would require us to trust a player and them to trust someone enough to be willing to disclose their abilities and probably a good deal of luck. If the Villains find out who has the power to reveal identities they’re not gonna make it thru the next night round.
I also think it’s gonna be hard to get half the game to go against anyone this early...so vote or not i have a feeling this day round will be a push.
I guess I’ll ask again, will there be a challenge in this day cycle? That would be our only real chance to witness suspicious behavior...

Immunity challenges happen during the night cycle, with the winner getting immunity the next day cycle. If the winner ends up getting villain-killed, I'll give immunity to second place

When someone dies we learn whether they were hero or villain. We want to keep heroes alive as long as possible, so that when any of us dies we can share as much info as possible If the Villains find out who has the power to reveal identities they’re not gonna make it thru the next night round. That would be way too powerful--it's just the ability to see what their power is

Reminder: When someone gets killed during the day cycle, they get 24 irl hours to post their goodbye message. After that, they are banned from posting in the Headquarters board, after which they get exclusive admission to the ultra-exclusive Club Dead board where dreams come true (but can never be shared)

Okay so they get one last info dump, and then they're out of the conversation for the rest of the game?

Yup. Otherwise they become the defacto leader of the entire good guy team, because everyone knows they can trust them.

Like for example, you talked to me on steam when I was alive in another life. It just didn't go the way that you've hoped

Yeah the thing is, this forum has DMs too. Are we expected to just not DM people when we die?

Yeah the thing is, this forum has DMs too. Are we expected to just not DM people when we die? Indeed. Seems unclear to me too. Maybe Evan can address some of that in the phone booth to clear up some of the gray area about out of game communication. Do whatever, just don't post in the Headquarters when you're dead.

I think we have a reasonable amount of people wanting to see death. I'm good with killing a non participant. There are usually some evil players in that group and it's generally gamey, anyone got an easy list of those not posted yet? I say we go with the alphabetically first in the list? Or how about a dice roll? We can get the runtime of Trumps rant tonight and use the last two digits as a count?

After a cursory search, I believe Judy is the only player that has not posted anything.
Edit: I was wrong. Every player on Evan's list has made at least one post. My bad.

Whoops I accidentally edited this when I meant to quote it. So sorry, I will watch out so I dont make that mistake in the future. Do whatever with regards to out of game communication, just don't post in HQ if you're dead.
