Why is it green?

So the weapon looks like a weapon of opportunity, broken off something. We just need to find out where it was broken off of.

It kinda looks like a fin, or a piece of a boat decoration, or the point to an evil vampire's shoulder cape.

Well the picture is to scale, so it very well could be a scalpel. It also could be a tooth to a cutting machine of some sort that maybe spins around.

I have learned that the secret owner of the riverboat is a man.

I've been reading the boards on my phone so "to scale" means, to me, a quarter centimeter... I figure it looks different on a real monitor.

It looks like fin equipment. Someone must have gotten a hold of Annie's equipment.

No even on my monitor it looks about the size of a thumb.

It must have been attached to something. It seems to little to hold and use as is.

Does anyone have a clue about seeing something broken like a mirror or a light fixture?

It must have been attached to something. It seems to little to hold and use as is. I agree, it probably broke off of something larger during the attack. But what?

It's green which has to indicate something...

Could the thing Sarah found be from a harpoon or other thing associated with fishing?

Bright green colour suggests its not a fishing thing. Generally those things are plain metal, except for lures, but even then the hooks on lures are usually plain metal. I think this something else., plus it slightly flexible

I think it looks like a piece of a broken wine bottle. But, maybe I've been a little more careless in my life than others.

Plus the glass on wine bottles is all the same colour no? I've not seen a two tone wine bottle.

How can it be a murder weapon if it's slightly flexible. I say we meet on deck and break a few wine bottles to compare; emptying them first, of course.
