Though no winner has been announced, it might be worthwhile to discuss some appropriate nominees. It is, of course, the winner's choice to make the final choice. But a discussion might be useful. Any thoughts?

I don't know if anyone has been very suspicious.
You could look at Mike and his choice of nominees but I don' t know what that tells us.
You could look at the voting, the clones know who the clones are, yes? So they would know that Son isn't a clone and vote for him over chris.
Do we know how many clones we started with or at least an estimate?

17 people in the game. 1 is an alien. If the number of clones and humans is equal, the game is essentially over, so I'd estimate that there are probably 4 clones.
The clones could have voted a few different ways. If both Son and Chris were human, they could have voted randomly. If Chris was a clone, once they saw Son was the favorite, they could have split their votes to hide themselves.
I found Mike's choices to be highly questionable. He didn't consult anyone and then picked two of the better players. If I had to bet, I'd say he's a clone and his goal was to pick two strong human players with the excuse being that they hadn't been participating. Then the clones could sit back and quietly watch as people discussed which of the two humans to kill.
Whatever the case, I don't see how Judy survives this week, since she clearly isn't playing.

Any thoughts? I am thoroughly confused by this OP. No winner of what? The haikus? What are the nominees? What is going on?

The deadline to submit the haikus is something like 5pm today (check the other thread) Evan will post the haikus and we will vote. Evan will then tell us the winner and the winner will nominate 2 people.
Annie, is just bored in the hospital and wants us to talk more on the threads so she posted this now. I told her to just look out the window at the cool nebulas and watch war stories about the first brood-clone wars.

But not only has no winner been announced, no haikus have been posted. I'm more interested in if we should collude to determine a haiku winner first, then have that person nominate 2 people we want to see nominated. For example, lets say we all agree we would like to have Mike & Judy nominated this week. We could all agree to vote on the same haiku (once they are posted, people could just say which ones are theirs) and then that person would nom the 2 people we wanted.

Isn't that taking the fun out of a poetry contest?

Isn't that taking the fun out of a poetry contest? Yes, but that itself would be poetic.

Technically, it's a popularity contest

You keep pressing a non existent issue like the Republicans do with Libya. It didn't matter that i didn't consult with anybody. You are making the assumption that I knew who was who. I didn't. Son was a jerk off previous game. I did not want to vote off chicks or my brother. I am bittersweet about Son. He was a human, but he was also a jerk. I am a human, and if you keep pressing the issue against me, then you are a clone, or worse yet, a republican.

Tulley the haikus wouldn't be posted because we're sending them privately to Evan first and he's posting them anonymously after 5 today. We'll have 24 hours to vote on the best poems.
Did anyone write haikus other than me?

Did anyone write haikus other than me? Sure they get posted anonymously, but once they get posted everyone could theoretically claim which ones they wrote, and we could decide who we want to make the official call. If there is any question as to who wrote what we just throw that out. The important thing is that we can decide as a group who we want nominated and pick a haiku to elect a representative to nominate those people. If anywhere along the chain someone doesn't go along with the program, well, then there is a big clue.

For some reason, I assumed there were 6 clones. It always seem like the number of villains is 6. Could be the drugs talking.

FYI - Judy is visiting her mother in Iowa right now and has very limited communication abilities. I'd give her a pass this week.

For some reason, I assumed there were 6 clones. It always seem like the number of villains is 6. Could be the drugs talking. It could be 6, but I think we used to play with more people. I remember having a player count in the low twenties before. This season, with 6 clones, there would be 10 humans. Which means the clones would only have to kill-off 4 humans before they could just vote us out. And usually, we start off by killing a few humans as freebies. With 4 clones, there would be 12 humans. That might be a little too much work for them, but with two people dying each week, I could call it reasonable. I'd guess there are 4 or 5.
