Not to mark myself as a spy, but maybe this 'fix the challenge' strategy is bad.
Sure, I was one of the first people to bring it up, but now that I've seen how the challenge has gone down, I"m rethinking. We've basically eliminated one more place for people to plan, argue, and generally look suspicious.
Assuming the spies simply agree to go along and not do something stupid, it's basically eliminating the challenge each week. What would mildville be with current rules and no challenge? What other ways could we tell people as spies? Last year, it was the challenge and the subsequent posts that allowed Tulley to correctly figure me out.
Obviously this week, we should stick with it, but overall, I"m thinking mistake.

I know, our idea is kind of a huge BUMMER, because challenges are super fun and you are right, they are telling.
What if we try it this week? What spies have on Diplomats is knowing each other, this is our chance to have some of us KNOW each other. It could be helpful to at least try perhaps?

It's pretty frustrating. Plus, only one person can get immunity. What happens when we have multiple confirmed diplomats.
This was a boring weekend in Mildville with no challenge.

Say we did get 2 dips together, what would they talk about? How would it help us?

I agree that fixing the challenge only helps us early on

I agree that fixing the challenge only helps us early on It's especially fruitless if the confirmed diplomat doesn't enter the challenge

Annie- What I mean is: say we keep pete safe/immune this week. Then a 2nd person goes through polygraph and proves to be a diplomat. Then we have 2 alive diplomats. Just trying to think of what they would talk about/how it would actually help diplomats-which is the whole point of this strategy. It wouldn't last longer than 1 more week as we can only keep 1 person safe.. but maybe it still would be worth it. I'm just trying to think of HOW it would be worth it and need a little help coming up with ideas.

It's not worth it. As Zac pointed out, there was very low activity on the boards this weekend. No talk, no clues.

I was outed in an aforementioned challenge when it was (correctly, albeit snarkily) speculated that I couldn't have done it without some bad-guy help. That said, there's gotta be a way to garner more advantage. We have the numbers, but they have the knowledge. We gotta find a way to flip the switch on this train!

Another thing is that it does shuck the kill to someone else so the spies are slightly more likely to kill the assassin, who in turn is a bit more likely to kill a spy

Anyway, if we find another diplomat this week, then it's nbd, we can all participate in the next challenge and I'll just try to help that person win. If we reveal a spy or assassin, I still think I should be protected
We've already established, though, that if anyone posts an entry in the official thread for the current challenge, they are automatically highly suspect

Yeah, I'm willing to try protecting our first Dip, Pete, this first week. I'm not going to submit my drawing, I'll post it in the 'for funsies thread' though.

Yeah I agree that it's pretty much just going to work this week. Also, I love challenges so I want to do more.

We are obviously firing blindly each week, and we have a much higher chance of hitting a diplomat than of hitting a baddie. Giving Pete the challenge victory will keep him alive for one week, but it has eliminated any chance of us differentiating the baddies from the diplomats.
People are saying "this will only work for one week". How is this "working" at all? Yea, you've kept Pete alive for one week, but you know the baddies are likely to kill two other diplomats. We're losing members quickly, and we're no closer to finding any baddies.
This entire week was a waste. People fixated on some chain-voting idea, the goal of which has yet to be explained, and now we're going to take a random shot in the dark, while the spies and assassin quietly decide which diplomats to eliminate.
We accomplished nothing.

We accomplished nothing. Whatever happened to this plan? I liked it: Sorry, but this plan is dumb. The chain won't work (I've tried it before), and it's unnecessary. Here's what needs to happen: The three confirmed diplomats decide, in private, who will be targeted. They tell everyone how to vote this week — in private. No one shares this. They tell 5 random people to vote for the target, and give everyone else random targets. This prevents the spies from knowing the real target.

Amer chill out.
First off this week isnt a waste. We hav until thursday and its only monday.
Second, this immunity challenge wasnt the type to actually trll us anything. It was a submit a picture. Its not like the one last week told us anything.
Look at th votes this past week. That will tell us something. I think the spies each voted for someone different. And why kill son?

Ok I need help in understanding this game, Im thinking keeping your identity a secret for as long as possible is key for survival, therefore by doing well in the challenges keeps you from having to expose your self. Once exposed you have a target on your back but for the enemy to kill you off right away does not seem advantages to me, the spies know who the spies are, so obviously they will keep one another safe, so why wouldnt they just want to continue flushing out diplomats while looking for the assassin, they'd be narrowing the field. Same for the assasin he is hiding among the diplomats trying to take out spies I would think, and marking diplomats in the process...diplomats are sitting ducks, hoping to vote out the spies and assasin. I think we made a hugh mistake also by not playing in the challenge I deleted my entry when basically it was threatened that all entry would be up for polograph so I was only entry other then petes pork chop... So i took a chance of giving up ammunity as a trade for saving pete a week when in theory I dont think he would or should be a target or a threat at this stage of the game. Maybe Im playing a whole different game and playing by myself...I dont understand Amer's comment about 3 "KNOWN"diplomats 2 are dead, no?... can they still play and comment and stratagise, or did I miss something...
