The idea is that spies have a low chance of killing the Assassin early on, so since they're killing a diplomat anyway, it may as well be one about whom we gain no information when they die. This way, we push the death elsewhere and restore the chance that it's an assassin while getting another person we can trust, even if they can't vote

Peppp, not sure if this helps or if you already know this? but the "knowns" amer is talking about are: son, big sexy and stinky pete. 2 died, 1 by the assassin, 1 by the spies, and stinky pete went through polygraph and it was found out that he is a diplomat. This was shown to us last friday in the gazette.

Today at 3:58pm, Amer wrote: This entire week was a waste. People fixated on some chain-voting idea, the goal of which has yet to be explained, and now we're going to take a random shot in the dark, while the spies and assassin quietly decide which diplomats to eliminate.
We accomplished nothing. Whatever happened to this plan? I liked it:

The three confirmed diplomats decide, in private, who will be targeted. They tell everyone how to vote this week — in private. No one shares this. They tell 5 random people to vote for the target, and give everyone else random targets. This prevents the spies from knowing the real target.
True, I understand that part, ty for responding...my question is this once you are killed off you still have input ? he stated the 3 confirmed diplomats, in private decide who the next target should be, etc...which leads me to believe you still have say after your dead. Yes or NO??

The dead can't vote but they can discuss, strategize and participate in other ways.

ooooooo I'm the ghost of the Mildville Diplomat Tote, which, btw, is the new name that I will use for this choo choo. I am here to help accuse everyone and anyone since I can't be stabbed again... I'm pretty sure. Anyway, off to go through walls, and look through all the luggage aboard for stuff to blackma.. I mean, for evidence.

I organized the vote against Stinky Pete
I told the following people to vote for him: Annie, Mike, Bigsexy, Zac, and Tulley.
Tulley told me he was going to vote for someone else.
Deviant voted for Stinky Pete on his own. So either someone I told, told him to vote for Pete. If so please state so. Or the spies divided their vote and Deviant is a spy. Or he just randomly decided to vote for Stinky Pete.

How do you know one of your buddies isn't a spy? How do you know they ALL aren't spies? Four people voted for me. Are they working together? Six people didn't vote for me or Pete. Was that their plan? Seven people didn't vote at all. That certainly appears to be the best way to stay off the suspect list. We've got nothing.

He does manage to stay in character very well, but I don't recall anything else fishy. Also, [and I know I'm in this group but I really did fall asleep and it was my first waking thought the next morning] what's up with the non-voters? [We also already established that since I had immunity it didn't matter that I voted for myself, just ignore that hiccup in the space time continuum] Especially the non-voters active on the boards. And what about the people not so active on the boards that voted... why did they vote for who they did?

As I told Evan when I casted my vote, my head was dizzier than normal with all the theories, strategies, and conspiracies that were running amuck on the threads. So in a flash of clarity, I noticed in bold print, "vote Stabby for spy" which was, and still is, on BigSexy's ID space ( for lack of the appropriate term for that space). So, with nothing else staring at me in bold print, I did just that...voted for Stabby. No strategy, no theory, nothing personal, just a random, first-week vote.
That said, like Annie, I have always maintained that it is easier to vote off a non-active person. It may not always make strategic sense, but it helps keep the game fun for those who are participating.
