This is all vintage Amer. Often wrong but never in doubt.

You people see what you want to see. In the final two paragraphs of my analysis, I specifically said that this is not proof of guilt. It was just an idea of where to put our votes. I said this is our "best chance" at hitting a merfolk. At no point did I claim any "certainties".
Neutrino's argument that it's better to trust your "gut feelings" over facts is ludicrous. You want to talk about me trying to extrapolate tendencies from data as if I'm unreasonable, and then tell me I should just go with my gut instead. This is religious "logic".
Also, last time I checked, 1 mermaid down.
And I think it's worth noting that my three detractors here (Neutrino, Stinky, and Tulley), are all suspected mermen. It stands to reason that they would attempt to publicly discredit me. Or, if you prefer, my gut tell me that you three are up to something.

I think he's someone who helped get a mer person out this week. Actually, pretty instrumental in that task.

Amer, I agree with your little statistical fact above. Not very impressed, but I'm not going to argue with the numbers. What I disagree with, is that I don't believe you can apply logic and reasoning to 9 weeks worth of gameplay and expect to be anywhere close to the confidence that you always portray. You're trying to apply techniques used in the hard sciences to a game that is largely based on human behaviour. I mentioned this a couple weeks ago before I was killed. I agree that to some degree logic can't be applied to what very well may be happenstance. but I appreciate Amer's application of some sort of model and strategy. Logic isn't TOTALLY irrelevant in mildville. I think Amer's doing a good job leading y'all to sound conclusions. I would follow him if I was still alive. Also if I was not a demon. Don't criticize Amer too much for his use of "logic" especially here in Mildville because the social sciences are actually a STEM discipline en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STEM_fields

If you took care in reading what I said, you'd find that I was simply remarking that it's something that bothers me about you in general, as several times in the past you have trumpeted dubious reasoning as undeniable, because of your stunning talent at presentation. I thought it would have been implied that the nature of your post about using what we know about mer density neatly landed outside of that behavior.

Also, can we please all agree to stop saying logic when we really mean reasoning?
Logic is a formal system of symbol manipulation in order to derive interesting, abstract statements from very strict, ideal definitions.
That's NEVER employed when discussing people's actions and motivations.
The only time logic is ever an appropriate term in this game, is probably during an immunity challenge.

That's interesting logic to use "reasoning". You UCSD people and your multisyllabicated words! Would you care to enlighten the group on mer-person reasoning?
