Did/does any of you go to these or are they dumb?
The president of my class is stuck with the burden of planning our 10 year this year and I offered to help. But only 1 other person has assisted also!
I am hoping a few others step up once we can give them a list of separate distinct jobs with a check list to make it easy for volunteers.
I only volunteered because I think it should be a group effort, not one person who is stuck with the burden because as a 17-year-old decided they want to be class Prez.
Just curious if any of you guys have hs reunion experiences..
Thanks!

I went to the 5 and 10. The same few girls plan them each year. They were not class officers. They just like organizing the reunion. Everybody who showed up was friendly. But then I went to one of the top 20 high schools in California <smug>. I have no idea what the people at your school are like. If I had to guess, I'd say it was 2/3rds "cool kids", and maybe 1/3 "normal kids".
The 5 year was at a bar owned by a family of one of the planners. The 10 year was at a hotel and cost $50. The 15 was at a bar. The 20 year was at the country club near our school. I think it was $100. They also had a "family" picnic the next day, so people could bring their kids.

A couple of people are trying to organize our 5 through Facebook, but I haven't heard from them since a couple of months ago when they started a now-dead massive group chat

haha our 5 was at a park, we had about 20 people. That sounds awful. My 10 was at a lodge, it was, iirc $85. I went mainly to hit on women that I never had the nerve to in HS, which was rewarding. My 20th is next year (I'm so old, gah), I don't really have any motivation to go.

I didn't go to my 10 because our school was in Corona but they felt it necessary to book it at a hotel in Ontario which was stupid. I don't feel like I missed anything though, not really anyone I cared to see again.

My 10 year was unofficially done by facebook invite at a restaurant. I went to the 66th largest high school in the nation, so the restaurant was in Los Angeles instead of Arcadia to accomodate people that were flying in.
