When do cycles begin/end? It seems like a moveable feast.the rules say day ends on Tuesday but it is Friday and we are still open (thankfully)

It was mixed up at the beginning because the day starts on Tuesday, and ends on Sunday (unless the vote closes the casket sooner)

I'm going to shorten the day cycle to 48 hours. I think the extra 3 calendar days prevent people from getting too frenzied. It is a witch hunt, after all.

Can we shorten the night phase too? I have no problem, game-wise, with reducing the night cycle, but there's an issue: Between collecting, processing, responding to the night action requests, writing the Gazette, double-checking everything, and flipping all the switches required to turn day mode on, it takes me close to 2 consecutive hours to start a new "day." It's hard to find time to do that in a 48-72 hour period. I'm worried if the deadline were, say, 6 PM the next day, it would be too taxing on me and might collide with other obligations.

Well what if you shorten the night phase but you publish the Gazette whenever you can afterwards. I just feel there is alot of dead time during the night.

What if there was a Miniville we could play at night?
Like a simple posting game where everyone has a rule they have to follow in their posts without getting caught, and whoever gets the most posts without someone guessing their rule, wins. It might be hard to come up with a lot of these, though.

If someone designs a miniville game and comes up with a prize idea I'll take a look.
