If you guys actually wanted to try to win, you would realize that it doesn't matter who we vote for. We have almost a 50% chance of hitting a witch with any vote. We do, however, have to all vote for the same person. As I've said, several times now, you guys needed to come up with one target. . [/b] [/quote] I did, I chose DJ but then Tulley messed it up. I think Tulley is a witch. Vote Tulley.

Great guys, this thread alone confirms that we split the vote. Doesn't help that son flip flopped like six times.

Brad, DJ and Erock we proposed last two weeks. I think this week's vote should be one of them to see how it turns out. prophetic was it not?

I was certain that Amer was on to me a few times. Not on me, just on to me.

Dang it. I thought one of you was a witch but had nothing solid to go on.
I said vote DJ. Just saying.

I always suspected the possibility, however, as a human, you're pretty much alone. I had to take a calculated risk and trust someone; otherwise it's you against everyone. You had done nothing to give me a reason to suspect you. There were several people who were far more suspect. Of course, that was the problem; The people who were the most suspect were humans. Annie, Erock, and Brad were fairly low on my list. People like Judy, Pete, and Chris were practically begging to be removed by acting shady.
With hindsight, I can see some of the subtle nudges, but they weren't enough for a conviction. I should have been more suspicious when Brad told me that you told him that you got the answer for the immunity challenge from me. There was no reason to do that. (I'm guessing that he never even solved the puzzle and you just gave him the answer?) You also privately defended DJ when I brought him up for deletion.
I think my only big mistake was when I asked Son to pick someone to vote out; I let Annie and Brad convince me to vote for someone else, and the whole point of letting Son pick was to prevent that type of manipulation. That was stupid. Still, it would have been very hard to win in the end; especially with an inside man.

It didn't help matters that the so many humans were awol. Alex, Chris, Jonathon, Pete, Franco, Kyle, Sam, & Steve all were human and finished with 32 or fewer posts. That made the witches job super easy.

Yeah. It was supeeeer easy. It's not like one of us was a primary target for the last few weeks. But quiet players do present opportunities.

That made the witches job super easy. While this is true, DJ, Brad, and Erock had 24, 33, and 36 posts. The game definitely has problems. I think it's very difficult for humans to win. There really is no way for them to expose the witches or vampires. Unless the witches are idiots and expose themselves, it's basically just a bunch of humans shooting randomly. Even then, their exposure gets mixed in with humans acting weird. The problem is this: What could the humans have done differently to win? I think the answer is, nothing. They need the witches and vampire to expose themselves. I don't see any way for the humans to force that. That isn't a very fun game for the humans. I think we need to come up with some ideas on how to force witches (and non-players) to participate more. That really needs to be job #1 for the next game. Some ideas: - Some sort of mandatory test every week, like The Mole.
- Instead of a vote, everyone has to rank all the players; something with more substance/evidence than the weekly vote results.
- Instead of an immunity challenge, a revelation challenge: If we win a challenge, some sort of clue will be given to us to help us decipher who is on which team.
- Speaking of clues, we could add some of the elements of the boardgame Clue. Put us in a mansion. Give everyone a weapon and some clothes. Then let us win clues like "the victim was stabbed" or "the killer was wearing boots". Humans will try to find clues, witches will try to hide them or frame people.
Basically, we need something to do besides sitting around, waiting for the witches to screw up.

And maybe two competing witch teams, though that may make it too hard for the witches

While this is true, DJ, Brad, and Erock had 24, 33, and 36 posts. That is my point. Because we had so many human silent players, it allowed the witches to just hang back and do nothing. Look at their comments in the gazette. Other than annie, they all said their strategy essentially boiled down to not talking much. When you have 10 people not saying anything, and 3 of them are witches, what are you supposed to do? Fortunately, there are a plethora of mechanics that we haven't tried yet, like an investigator and such. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_(party_game)#Optional_roles

True, with no clues we tend to jump on anything that someone says, so if you say little there is not much for humans to go on. Then if you have a number of humans not really playing and saying little it compounds the problem.
I said vote DJ.

First, just want to say a big THANK YOU to Chief Evan for the time, effort, and brain cells he devoted to the game! It was fun for all who participated, and a great way for those of us on the periphery to stay in touch. Mildville does imitate real life in that the good (humans) often die young (or more accurately, soon). Payback will be sweet, Erok! If there are some bugs in the game, I'm sure they will be worked out for next time. Although it was a long time ago, I don't remember there being any real format issues with our Survivor game.....other than the fact that I finished second both times and really should have won! Thanks again Evan!
