Evan's dead, no big deal, let's face it, the guy was so uncool. But there is a murderer on board, even less cool in my mind.
Suspects -- Dr. Judy - Evan killed by a scalpel something a doctor might carry around without arousing suspicion...until she kills someone with it!
Mike - something I recall from my childhood - "a skunk smells its own hole first" nuff said.

We might want to also consider who would have benefited most from his death? Or who would have benefited from his death before he had a chance to change his will?
Perhaps someone with an interest in the TV station or newspaper? Like a REPORTER or a TV STAR!!!!! (I actually think that's unlikely because they can both find other jobs). Perhaps a current owner/manager of either company did the deed? Who owns/runs the paper? The TV station?

I heard the Evan's current will leaves everything to Mike. Pretty strong motive if Mike knew he was going to change things to leave his fortune to the hospital. So there's a motive.
Plus you know...the whole skunk thing.

That's a pretty baseless accusation Son. Evan was like my uncle and father at the same time. Wait, my father was my uncle. Point is, I forgot.

I agree with the skunk part...
However, while Mr. Magoo has a couple of obvious motives, is he TOO obvious? Then again the good Captian (may he rest in peas)has been known to throw us a few curve balls.
And, there could be others who didn't want the money to go to Barton Memorial. I heard the hospital was named for a crooked politician with some abnormally conservative leanings back in his day.

My thoughts too... Evan's announcement about his will is suspiciously close to his demise. We need to get our hands on that will and also determine who would have hated to see it changed.

We definitely need to see the previous will to find out who was going to lose out on Evan's fortune. It also might not be the primary recipient of Evan's fortune, but rather someone who was named and needed the money bad enough to kill for it.
Does anyone know who Evan's estate attorney was or the Executor of the will?

Well this reporter is not actually employed by either of those companies... just the friendlyville shopper. As a reporter I'd definitely like to get to the bottom of this story though. Perhaps it was a MILITARY weapon used in the murder.

Perhaps it was a MILITARY weapon used in the murder. How is a scalpel a military weapon? Maybe we should just list everyone on board and plausible reasons why each could have motive for the murder.

I think the report said a scalpel or another fine instrument which is maybe what the reporter lady was referring to.

Still not very military. More medical. And who is likely to have such an instrument on board?
Also, did anyone notice that in the e-gazette, Andy found a cake in "their" room? Who is Andy's bunkmate? I thought that we were all pretty much strangers to one another.
And who are the two guests that are perpetually on the boards. You are dirty, dirty lurkers.

Fine instrument could mean anything at this point. We aren't likely to find it as the murder probably tossed it overboard.

Actually, it could have very well been a stolen scalpel. There was a recent burglary from Barton Memorial Hospital and no traces of entry or exit were found.

Well, she has had some recent fame around here in regards to her expose that "there were multiple culprits for recent break-ins at the Mainville Hotel, Friendlyville Space Center, and the Barton Memorial Hospital." She could have set the whole thing up but that seems unlikely.

I think we can throw out motive seeing as Evan was planning on killing all of us...

but we didn't know that before he died, except the killer maybe I think his point is that one of us could have known that Evan was out to get him/her and murdered Evan before he had a chance to kill him/her (which I guess you acknowledge). Based on the information that was disclosed publicly by Evan, we probably can't really narrow down the list. We have no way of confirming if information shared by players (Sarah's interest in military weapons, Son's disclosure that Mike was the original heir, Farrell's alcoholism)is true or is a lie spread by the murderer to throw us off track (or is just someone trying to be cute).
