Frankly, I abhor all of this talk about taking a shot in the dark at G-men with the hope of hitting the demon. G-men pic a gangster target and let's rally around promoting our own longevity. Well, as long as it's not Amer--I like his spunk. Gmen and Gangsters are on the same team now. Its humans (Regardless of g-affiliation) v. demon v. Mer-folk.

I understand that we have been combined. However, having the demon on the (former) G-men team puts the G-men at greater risk. In my opinion.

How do we know that the Merpeople didn't sacrifice a mer, to make it look like we all need to follow them?

I didn't vote for Dan because I guess I missed the discussion about who to vote for. If general consensus is that someone is Mer or Demon, let me know...I, being human, will jump in on the vote. There was a small discussion about voting for Dan on the g-men board. You could only miss it if you didn't bother reading the thread. Erik and Pepper were the two g-men who didn't vote for Dan and voted. Since erik is defending himself, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt and vote for Pepper unless someone can convince me otherwise. I have to think that the merpeople did turn in an entry because they won, so someone on their team is active enough to be creative but somehow no vote to kill someone was made. Its very confusing. The last demon is a g-man who is somewhat active. It is turning in entries, just late it seems.

I didn't get the Bioshock reference. Comstock made me think of the Comstock Lode, which was mentioned several times in Deadwood. … compare their activity meters. Come to think of it, where did the meters go? Did Evan decide it was unfair? Edit: I see them in the cotton club, but not here. I believe you have to add the activity meters by board. Evan, try to go into the plugins, activity meter options, and then add the new board to the list. I've pretty much eliminated Annie as a possible mermaid. You might not agree with my logic, but I believe that there's just no way that Annie would allow the Merfolk to not send in a kill target. They won the challenge, and then forgot to kill someone. That's just incompetence. Besides being one of the more committed players, Evan would have just told her in person, at their house, "none of you people sent in a target", and she'd have named someone. I think this logic also exonerates me, and possibly Farrell. I see Farrell on the forum all the time. I even saw him on the forum for a month after the last game was over. The three of us are just here too often to make a blunder like that. Farrell could still theoretically be the demon, because he's a G-man. Annie and I are gangsters, so it's not possible for us to be the remaining demon. As I told Annie in private earlier, I am most suspicious of those who did not vote for Dan. I believe the fact that the merfolk forgot to send in a kill target after winning their challenge shows that they don't have very strong leadership, which means that they were probably disorganized about who to vote for. In such a situation, I would expect them to vote for a random non-merfolk player. Dan was the obvious choice, since he hadn't logged on in a month, but the merfolk wouldn't vote for him unless they had to. The fact that no one was pressuring them to vote for him meant that they could vote for someone else, or not vote, while making up a convenient excuse. Sure enough, several people didn't vote, and several more found reasons to vote randomly for someone by themselves. Quite simply, if you were a merfolk, you had no reason and no pressure to vote for Dan. This means that the people who did vote for Dan are most likely not merfolk. Everyone else is suspect. At this point, logic dictates that we only vote for G-men who did not vote for Dan. If we don't hit a merfolk, we at least have a chance of hitting the demon. I'd advise against targeting Gangsters until we've killed the demon, because I don't see any other way to get him. Historically in mildville, whenever Amer has had flawed logic, he's been a villain, and whenever he's had spot on logic, he's been a good guy. Seriously, this post was a bit tl;dr, so if someone can corroborate his logic, they can steer my vote. *sigh* I guess I'll play Devil's Avocado. Amer's reasoning is consistent, but the premises have a possible flaw. That is, I find it unlikely that Evan would tell Annie about the game, even if she were a merperson, because it's part of the game that the merpeople need to organize amongst themselves, and meta-game reminders seem below Evan's integrity. That said, Annie's track record stands on its own anyway, and Amer has experience playing on the secret team with Annie last year. Assuming he's being sincere, I believe his reasoning holds. Of course, it's possible that not eliminating someone was part of some elaborate plan with extraordinary foresight for the sake of Amer making his argument, but that explanation demands far too much unneeded energy to fit the observation. *science* Finally, though, we must consider that there are cases where a particularly active merperson just misses a few days for one reason or another, and the less avid of their team assumed they had the kill covered. So it's not like every power player has to be a human, but for now I think Amer and Annie are likely human, though if one turns out to be amphibious, the other becomes more suspect as well.

Ok so in order to nab a merperson we target the gmen who didn't vote for Dan, and the demon can be any gman. Are there any clues to who the demon may be in the weekly challenges other than that video game reference? What about the demon kills?

If we go from Annie's post, then I'm still leaning Erik or Commando. Commando's been quiet on Mildville more so than last year, and he seems relatively active on brh boards.. I only caught the Bioshock reference cause my husband thought that's why Evan had the name he did, then I was like, oooh maybe a clue! I just forgot to vote I always vote! I'm sorry.. I'm 99.9% sure Peppperette isn't the demon.. or Judy or Paula.. it's just my gut and I'm really sexist. This is just my 2 cents from hanging with this group from day one. Doesn't really matter though, I'm flexible. We have time to kill anyways.. the mers bought us a bonus week too.

How do we know that the Merpeople didn't sacrifice a mer, to make it look like we all need to follow them? Because that would have taken planning and coordination … from a group of people who couldn't even manage to send in a kill target. The fact that the G-men had a discussion about Dan makes the G-men who didn't vote for him even more suspect. The merfolk won the challenge, but then didn't send in a kill target. My guess is that someone has taken the leadership role over there, but somehow flubbed the kill target submission on that day. That person most likely didn't vote for anyone either. My guess would be True or Tulley. I believe Tulley had a flight to catch early Friday morning, which could have distracted him. I don't know what True's reason for not participating is. At this point, I agree that Erik and Peppperettte are the two best targets. I think people should vote for one of those two. Personally, I'm going to vote for Erik. Pepper at least voted for an inactive. Erik voted for Annie, which doesn't seem justifiable.

I kinda think Erik is human but I've been fooled by him in the past, and I don't really have any better ideas so fine. Sorry Ereezy.

Oh Amer...I am human. Maybe you hate me because I am the Chief of Police...and you are a gangster? Annie has been running a Library for degenerates, a booze filled den of debauchery. Having not logged in to see the argument for Dan doesn't mean I am not human...it just means I didn't log in. I will gladly show my allegiance and vote Pepper if that is the target. Hmmm?

Who is the target? If you vote for me you are helping Merpeople take over our beloved Mildville.

Oh, Erik. I don't hate you. I love you. That's why you have to die. So, you'll never change. You'll never grow old. You'll be exactly how you are now … forever.

Oh, I do love the tet-a-tet! While things still seem rather random, I have to agree with Amer's and Play-it-again-Valentino's logic. I promise on everything that's holy or fashion-forward that I am pure human....a good girl human at that! I will go along with the above stated 'logic' and vote accordingly...perhaps later on to see if anything else surfaces.

I thought you were voting for me? Wait … are you doing that thing where you've accepted your fate, so now you're publicly attacking another Merfolk in order to trick people into thinking that you're not both on the same team?

I didnt vote for Dan because I wasnt told too, I never saw the discussion, I asked several times who to vote for, andd received no response, so I used process of elimination as to who to vote for and came up with Fatty. I can copy andd paste my plea's if need be.

I voted for Erik. Though, frankly, I haven't really liked any of the excuses from those who voted last week but didn't vote for Dan. He was the obvious choice and those that did vote for him didn't have some sort of pow wow - we just knew he was the right choice based on total inactivity.
