I voted for Erik. Though, frankly, I haven't really liked any of the excuses from those who voted last week but didn't vote for Dan. He was the obvious choice and those that did vote for him didn't have some sort of pow wow - we just knew he was the right choice based on total inactivity. Same about Erik, and I'll feel bad if he turns up all human. and I know.. I feel bad that the one week I'm inactive-is working against me. sigh. On the bright side: kudos to Evan, this season's game style is working! Finally, being inactive works against you and not for you. Out of curiosity/(am I missing something), I know the Gmen had a convo on getting Dan in the private Gmen thread, did Gangsters discuss Dan in the Gangster thread?

Good point, how did Annie and Amer know to vote for Dan without access to the Gman thread?
Coincidence that the two most outspoken gangsters voted with the Gman? or was there merpeople involvement?

I voted for Dan because he was being an inactive tool. Didn't need anyone to tell me that was the right thing to do.

Lets not get to excited about the g-man thread. It went something like this: -Who we voting for? -Guess an inactive. -An inactive sounds good. -Are we merged? -Lets vote for Dan. -end

FYI. I am sitting with Evan at a bar during lunch and he says there will be results and a challenge at 5 pm. Unless he's sequestered.

Amer & Annie do seem awfully chummy here, although thats not totally unusual for them. We will know more once the results come out.

This is our entire thread on the subject: Rebecky Pickford 22 May 2014 at 7:01pm Anyone have any strategies for voting tonight? Amer Verlassen 22 May 2014 at 10:05pmDan hasn't logged on in a month. He got my vote. Annie McClarabow 23 May 2014 at 7:25amIt seems several of us came to that conclusion. Mike Lenin 23 May 2014 at 8:32amI should have came to that conclusion. didn't realize he was playing. Stinky Valentino 23 May 2014 at 12:02pmI didn't see anything when I voted, so I followed Erik's advice for a shot in the dark, by voting for Erik Rebecky Pickford 23 May 2014 at 6:22pmI didn't know who to vote for and I wasn't sure if we were merged yet so I didn't want to vote one of our own so I chose a random person on the gman side.
You'll note that this started at 7pm on voting day. My reply was at 10pm, long after I had already voted. The next reply was the next day, after voting was over. I will admit that not all players are savvy enough to check the members page to see how long it has been since someone logged on, but I find some of the voting choices questionable. Voting for Fatty was logical — he's a non-player. Voting for Annie was not, which is why I voted for Erik. And, yes, Annie and I converse privately. We do that in most games. I usually have conversations with Tulley as well. And Evan, too, if that matters. That doesn't mean that I trust her, of course. She and Erik got me good one season. After the merfolk blunder last week, however, I'm quite sure she's not merfolk. It's possible that a strong, active player could just screw up once and allow that blunder, but I find it unlikely, which is about as good as it gets in this game.

Hm, well my plan was if Erik was human to assume Amer was mer and go after him. That didn't work out. Shit. We humans need to get our shit together. Of course our e3 demo is coming up so I will be short on time as usual but I can help out where I can. So who is the next target? The logic was Erik or Pepper, but we can see that was useless. Do we still want Pepper as our next attack? Anyone have any ideas?

This changes nothing. G-men who did not vote for Dan are still the best target.
If anything, the fact that the merfolk killed me should be an indication that they didn't like the direction I was sending everyone. Also, they were probably butthurt that I kept telling everyone how utterly incompetent they were last week.
The joke's on them, though. Strike me down, and I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. The town could have turned against me this week. Now I'm above reproach.

Or you weren't onto them and the mer folk knew that killing you would give credence to your theory thereby leading us in the wrong direction.
I think that's not likely but wanted to point out the possibility.

Clearly we don't want to overthink the merfolks plans - its most likely they don't have one. Occam's Razor should rule our decision making here. Apropos of nothing, Annie does have a history of manipulating Amer into doing her evil bidding, her behavior this game has been eerily similar to that one.
How many inactives are there left? In the past, they are usually human, and the ones who start chirping up when the #s dwindle are baddies.

Yea, but Annie didn't convince me of anything. All of our conversations so far have been me convincing her.
Either way, the logic is sound. The merfolk are most likely amongst the people who didn't vote and the people who voted for someone other than Dan. The alternative is ridiculous: that the merfolk deliberately voted for one of their own without any pressure to do so while hoping that there would be a lot of people who didn't vote for Dan, which would make those other people look suspicious … and this mastermind plan coming from a group that couldn't even manage to send in a kill target that same week. Even if someone did come up with a plan like this, anyone who has played Mildville knows how hard it is to convince your group to do something simple, let alone kill one of your own as part of some grand scheme.
It should also be noted that Tulley is one of the non-voters. His absence that week could also explain why the merfolk didn't send in a kill target. Also, I know that Tulley is a big fan of Bioshock Infinite, which also leads back to the merfolk. Tulley is pretty high up on the list of probable merfolk. His sudden burst of opinion could be an act of self-preservation.

I didn't vote because I was travelling. The record is clear on that, you can check my twitter feed. And the Comstock/Infinite thing was a DEMON challenge, not a MERFOLK challenge, & the gangster demon is already dead. Man if you weren't dead I would totally think you were a mer with all this nonsense!

I think he's trying to say that the mer folk were in disarray last vote because of a lack of leadership and that could be because you were traveling (and are their leader).
I'm not crazy about the theory but I get it.

Also, I know that Tulley is a big fan of Bioshock Infinite, which also leads back to the merfolk. This is the nonsense I am referring to. As for me being the leader, I would hope you have more respect for my leadership skills than to not mention something like "hey guys im gone friday dont forget to vote." Not sure why amer is stirring up this particular pot. (edit: Oh yeah I forgot, he does this every game!) I have been participating every chance I get. Its not like I just showed up. I played for a bit, then got busy for bit on multiple cycles.

Vote me off if you wish, your logic is incorrect though, again I didnt vote for Dan because I never saw the discussion, in hindsight, I have found the suggestion to vote Dan off, but again it was a suggestion, with 2 peeps saying they could go along with it, I'm 2 hours ahead of most of you. I read this stuff daily and come on here more then once or twice a day. I choose to vote for Fatty because he was inactive on the gangster side. I saw that you only had three girls, so I ditched the idea of a female, I chose not to vote for Amer, for personal reasons that stemed from last season. I like playing with Mike and Stinky, they have alot of humor in their posts I find humorous. So it left Fatty as my choice. Like it or not thats was my logic in my vote...some may or not know my health is not that great and im quite busy with Dr. Appts, and work, etc, this game can be time consuming as well, for me it is, because when I commit to something I give it 100%. This season I have not participated in the writing challenges, you all are great writers, I love reading your stuff, im not a writer, I have trouble signing a greeting card. Ok I've steered off path... I'm good with it.

I say your all full of roe...I have explain my vote...I missed the discussion on Dan..I picked another player who I felt was inactive...As a group (G-MAN) we had talked about doing away with inactives. I choice an inactive, just not the one Amer, and Annie wanted me to evidently.
