When I was settings things up, I didn't see any way to deactivate the record, so, people are probably going to have to man up and accept responsibility for their angry karma assaults.

Exactly this. If someone wants to shit on someone else's karma, they can just systematically smite every post. Anyone can get low karma and not know which post caused people to smite, making it more of a spite system than a feedback system.

If only we had votes like in the bar room
