Fifty shades of grey? Honestly I only read sci-fi and fantasy books and they tend to not make good movies. I mean I guess the Lord of the Rings trilogy was good.

Godfather Color purple Gone with the wind Maltese falcon To kill a mockingbird. I read Godfather back in the day! It was good, loved the movies, 1 and 2. Godfather 3 was cringy. Gone with the Wind is one of my favorite movies! I try not to broadcast it, though, cause, well, how can I put this, my black friends don't feel the same way. So I just don't talk about it. Never read the book, but I heard Scarlett's story is more drawn out. Years ago, Evan gave me hitchhiker guide to the galaxy. Still have it today. That was a great book. The movie was brutal. Fight Club was a great book, and is also one of my favorite films, as the narrator quotes a lot of the lines from the book.

saw Crazy Heart the other night. It's based off a 1987 book. Jeff Bridges performance was extraordinary (He won the academy award for it) and the sound track is pretty too.
By and large, I know lots of people prefer the books to the movie. I hope that this is outdated thinking because in movies, sounds and visuals are usually much better.
